Just received an email from Wally's Son,Ray, that He passed away yesterday. I am happy to have called him a friend and hate that he is no longer with us.

What a shame. he was truly an innovator. Many of the modern optics we have today emerged from his work. God Bless him.

Many of the gents that I admired growing up and were innovators in their day are slowly passing and we are blessed today for their knowledge, ambitions and dreams. Pretty hard to fill some of those gents shoes! Till later Wally!
