Hunting type bipod for long range

What do you all like for a bipod for the above description? I currently have the Harris shorty with the kmw loc on it and works decent but looking to get something maybe better quality, lighter, more adjustable, quicker to get into action. I don’t know if anything exists that fits the description but I was looking at a atlas. Opinions?

Take a look at hatch out west bipod it’s the best do all hunting bipod I’ve found. It’s not an atlas but it can go from prone to sitting without adding or removing legs and handles my 338 edge and 28 Nosler very well!

I like Atlas and GG&G. thumb knobs are easy to use on the GG&G when laying prone behind the rifle. Atlas is not quiet as quick but it shoot a bit better off the atlas.

For LRH I use the carbon fiber Moduler Evolution, its a great bipod and you can get different length quick debatable legs so you can shoot from prone , sitting, and kneeling. It is like an Atlas but lighter.

I don’t think any bipod is quicker to get into action than the swing down legs of a Harris. Choose the notched legs and decide if you prefer the 6-9 for mostly prone hunting or the longer legs for maybe sitting. I have several types of premium bipods for tactical, hunting and F class applications but my general use fall back is a trusted Harris.

The main problem with bipods for my hunting style is they won't fit in a scabbard with it attached. They can also be very uncomfortable to carry. I have been considering one of these but haven't tried it yet.

I used to run Harris' on a few hunting rifles, they're great for prone or seated shooting but throw off my balance for standing. I now prefer shooting sticks, made a few sets from cheap fiberglass fence markers & para-cord.
