Hunting Trip Pic

Hi,
Just wanted to post a pic of a Wild Pig I shot on the 22nd of May. The sow is nothing special and at a guess her weight would have been about 50 Kilos. Never the less I am pretty chuffed as it has been too long since I last went out for a shot.

Rifle used is a Tikka M595 in .243 Win and I was using 95gn Federal Fusion factory ammo,It goes alright too)
Scope is a 4.5-14 x 50 Leupold VXIII and the sling is a blackfoot silent sling,www.blackfoot.com.au)
I live in NSW Australia.

Thanks for the post. Looks like pork's for dinner...

Tell us a bit about the sling and the rifle. I don't think that exact model 595 ever made it to the USA. Looks like it has back-up iron sights.

Thanks, the dogs will eat well, unfortunately the wife wont eat meat unless it comes wrapped in plastic from the supermarket.
The blackfoot silent sling is simply some 1" nylon webbing with some uncle mikes sewn on to either end and a rubber liner sewn to the shoulder. Its a simple design, designed by a hunter for hunters. There are no fancy bits to make noise and spook game.
As well as being my main walk about hunting rifle I use the Tikka at night when spotlighting foxes, hence the leupold optics.
