Now that Eastern PA has become the "new rain forest" of the US I have adapted. If you don't mind getting soaking wet or risk being struck by lighting or washed away by a flash flood some of the best ghog hunting I've ever experienced is after a heavy rain.
I've experience these hunting conditions with some success before but these last few weeks have been special with all the nasty wet weather we've been having. Besides, I had to get out of the house before the wife found more things for me to do.
Anyway, I saw hogs boys all over the place this week, in places I didn't even know they were after a heavy rain showers. I got four on Monday in a field that thought was hunted out but went there anyway since it was cut. Tuesday another great wet day, got three in a adjacent field, missed one too. They don't call me the Ground Hog Man for nothing!
