Hunting in South Africa , wow!!!

Just to add for those contemplating an Africa hunt, it helps if you are in excellent physical condition, with zero to limited negative medical history. The time of travel required and jet lag is enough to debilitate one if not in good shape.

The 16 hour flight non stop from Atlanta is tuff, but manageable. As far as the physical part of the hunting. Challenging but nothing that I could not overcome, I am 66 years old and the only concern was the squatting and getting down on one knee and getting back up. The PH was was very accomodating and made my life easier in many ways. Jet lag once over there is really not an issue when the adrealin pumps like it does when you are in Africa. Lots of spot and stalk, and just some short strolls for stalking which is unbeliveable what you see once you get deep into the bush. Boys, it is not a foot race or endurance trial, but hunting at a reasonable pace, You are not "tromping" thru the cover, but looking and stalking. Opportunity for game and reasonable shots are in multitudes, unlike anything we have here in the States. Go once, you will go again. I am anyway. Thanks, Reon...I miss the short strolls that we had each day.
