At least three of them are archery kills. Nice but they are archery.

Now what is the connection to Ted Nugent?

I don't know him but do know of him. He's a great NRA supporter and champion of the Second Amendment. Is he one of the pictured hunters?

That's rich boy/girl stuff pictured there. For most of us the "stuff of dreams".

Ted Nugent is in the 2nd pic.

Not really. Coming from the US, you can hunt plains game in the RSA or Namibia for about the same price as a guided elk hunt. Package deals for 4-5 animals (including kudu and warthog as shown) during a week of hunting are typically around $5K, including lodging, meals, trophy fees, professional hunter, trackers, skinners, daily laundry service, etc.

Exactly! Already planning a return trip.

Looked at that website. I guess you could have some kind of hunt for just over $5,000.

Of course you have to add your passport, airfare, gratuities, trophy fees and msc. expenses. Guessing it can be done for $10,000 to $15,000.

Only issue with me is $10,000 to $15,000.

I'll be hunting in Namibia for 7 full days in July 2014, and I won't spend more than $9K including airfare from the west coast of the US. That will include kudu, gemsbok, black wildebeest, and springbok (should I be so fortunate as to collect one of each) with all tips and dip/pack/ship. You can save quite a bit more if you live on the east coast, hunt in the RSA, and hunt fewer species or do management hunts.

Even at twice the price, Africa would be worth every penny. I've never known anybody who went that didn't plan a return trip.

The Kudu in the third picture has to be very close to 60". That would make me take another one. I have a Cape Buffalo on my hit list for my next trip but a wart hog or Kudu like the ones in those pictures would also get a .416 bullet.

On my trip last month, airfare from Minneapolis to Jo-Burg, SA was $1800 per person, upgraded to business class. Each of our back to back 7 day hunts had about $1000 in tips total between maids, camp staff, trackers, skinners, the PH and the cook. On our first part of the trip, my wife and I shot a bushbuck, a kudu, a waterbuck, an impala, two zebra, two babboons and a vervet monkey. All the horned animals made gold medal in SCI. Pick up and delivery back to the airport, meals, gratuity and everything was less than $11,000 including airfare for two people.

I have hunted the Sonora of Mexico for mule deer and shot a great one. That trip was more than $11K without airfare and tips. Unsuccessful Alaskan Dall sheep hunt this year was $16,500 and the moose hunt in 2014 will be $17,000. Pack-in hunts out west will go for $5000 and up depending on the area and game.

I have nearly as much money in several custom F-Class rifle/scope pkgs. as we did in our trip around the world. The memories we created will last a long time. There wasn't a 20 minute period where we didn't see something to look at, photgraph, or stalk in the 6 days we hunted. Words can't describe the experience. To each their own...

Holy cow! Isn't hunting supposed to be about getting back to nature, being free and not depending on the super market? If you have to spend 10k to kill an animal is it even hunting? Why not go to any western state and do a DIY public land hunt? I do understand some places require guides, but man that is some pricey meat!

I hunt in Wyoming every year on public land DIY -- have for more than 20 years. I've even caught thousands and thousands of rabbits with hawks that I bred and trained myself, so I'm well accustomed to hunting the hard way.

Yes, if you live in the US you have to spend some money to get to Africa. Yes, you will hunt with a PH. Yes, the PH gets paid by the client. After a week together you and the PH are friends for life. It isn't about the money at all.

I take it you've never hunted in Africa, which would explain your lack of understanding. It's similar to those guys at the range who tell you that "anybody could hit the X if they had your big rifle and scope" -- you know, the rifle you spent thousands of dollars on, so that you could punch little holes in paper. ;)

Captian Mal, its not that expensive to hunt Africa!! Its cheaper than a Elk hunt!!

Air Fare $1800
Travel to and from airport $500
Daily rates $300
Then you pay per animal what you kill! And you will only TIP if you are satisfied with your hunt!!!
I have clients over that will hunt for ten days Five animals under $8000

A few more pics....

Shuffling through the brush where the cobras and puff adders reside isn't enough of "getting back to nature"?

Go there, experience the womb of all mankind, then talk. Hog
