Howa safety problem

I have a howa 1500 in 22-250 and the safety will not click into the safe position. Feels like it is binding. Any thoughts would be helpful do not want to have to buy a new trigger

Is this gun new or used? I personally would and take it apart and clean the trigger group and when u are ready to reinstall make sure its not binding or rubbing against the stock somewhere

Taken apart and figured out it was adjusted too light, re adjusted and works great
