No sir I haven't..Have you at least run some factory rounds through it?
Thank you sir.DANG NICE RIFLE SIR I GOT TO GET STARTED ON MINE NOW
THATS FORSURE ME NEITHER BUT YOU GOT A LOOKER THEREThank you sir.
I'm not much into the ar 15 platform , so I knew I wanted the 6mm arc in a bolt action
No sir I haven't..
My gunsmith shot a few rounds out of the barrel on a mdt chassis with factory ammo.
I also can't find any ammo in stock.
But for a bolt gun, wouldn’t a 6-47 Lapua do about the same thing?
ThankYou. That was very informative! It'll do a great deal more! Case capacity in grains water rises from somewhere around 35gn for the ARC (assuming c.1.5gn less than the Lapua Grendel case) to getting on for 47gn for the 6-6.5X47L, and the capacity to bore area rises from c. 760 to 1,020. (You've missed out the lower capacity 6BR and 6Dasher anyway between the ARC and 6-6.5X47L for those using 0.473" dia. bolt-faces.)
Increasing case capacity to bore ratio makes a cartridge less flexible (and the 6-6.5X47L has a poorer reputation here than either BR of Dasher) and increases recoil and barrel wear - against performance increases of course at same pressures.
With a likely case to bore ratio of ~760, the ARC is in the same bracket as high barrel-life numbers such as 223 Rem (738) and 308 Win (747). For those who don't want to hit plates in a stiff wind at >1,000 yards or compete against the Dasher in mid to long range BR and suchlike, the ARC promises a ballistically efficient, low-recoil, easy to load and tune, accurate number which is also economical in terms of powder consumption and barrel life.
Horses for courses depending on what the shooter is looking for.
Brownell’s has some 6arc Black ammo in stock today.No sir I haven't..

Like the idea but why a 7 twist?
Would a slower 8 twist be a no go then for 105 grain range of bullets?7.5 is standard, they're just losing out on some of the very light projectiles, at worst.
