Howa firing pin

Like the title says does anyone know where I can get a Howa short action firing pin that doesn't come as a whole bolt assembly. Brownells doesn't show it...

Jon Gun parts do not list anything Howa....I went thru this with my Howa Varmint .223 Rem. about 15 years ago.

If you search Mossberg 1700 or S&W 1500 you'll find parts.

Howa builds the Vanguard for Weatherby so not sure if calling Weatherby would help much. Maybe... .

" Legacy Sports" is the name of the company that represents Howa in the United States.

BigDmt, if you call Legacy they send to a parts place in Tulsa OK where they have complete bolts but do not sell firing pins. They say it comes complete, didnt ask the price. And since the gun is actually a Wby Vanguard I will call them.

OK, didn't know if they could help or not. Hopefully you don't have to buy an entire bolt.

I noticed Pacific Tool and Gauge is making Howa bolts now. Maybe you could call Dave Kiff and see if he has an extra firing pin. Might be worth a try...

I called weatherby and can get a new pin from them for 14 bucks and they have them in stock.

Great to hear. Can't beat that deal. Definitely good to know since I recently built my son a rifle on a stainless Howa action.

What exactly happened to your firing pin that warranted it's replacement?
