painted plates have worked for me so far at 500y to 1K— i have thought about a shotmarker though. the downside of the plates is i dont have targets to keep. shotmarker would provide that. So thanks for the info about the target board. i was wondering about this. I have been using 2” aiming dots(50mm) but am trying smaller ones. it seems aim small shoot small works. have you used any form of target camera?I bought my own Shotmarker this year - thought that it would be useful for sighting in at Homerange's place. ( Thanks Rob) but - I find it just as useful to use for practice at another range, where I can place it at 500/600 and practice - without several hundred yds of walking to change targets. You don't need a full size target board - mine has an 800mm by 800mm sensor area and fits in the back of my 4x4. I use a 75mm coloured dot as an aiming mark. The frame was cut out of 1/2 in ply and I use screw in tent pegs and a couple of aluminium tubes to support it. ( sorry about the pommie spelling...)
