I just shelled out $1500.00 for an upgraded Forum-only server. Should be online in a couple days.

This should be faster and more reliable.

If anyone's feelin' generous, kick in a couple bucks.

I've noticed 90% of the guys selling stuff in the Classifieds are NOT Site Contributors. :-\

The Classifieds remain free... but it would be nice if regular, repeat sellers would consider making a small donation. Fair is fair.

You'd pay over $50 to sell a $3000.00 rifle on Gunbroker.com. Here's what it would cost to sell $500, $1500, and $3000.00 items on Gunbroker.com (based on final auction price):

Gunbroker $500 Final Price FEES Total = $13.13
Gunbroker $1500 Final Price FEES Total = $31.88
Gunbroker $3000 Final Price FEES Total = $50.63

I agree with Paul 100%, there is no reason that when you sell something you can't chip in a little, I think it only fair. Do any of you belong to other gun forums? ever seen there classifieds, I mean the ones that actually have classifieds?.. Our scope section is bigger then most other forums whole classified sections, we have a HUGE classified section with literally 100's of items sold weekly, sometimes daily! But who say's it has to be just the sellers that donate?....I have never sold a single thing on here or anywhere else for that matter, I am a buyer, I get some very good deals on here so I donate from time to time as do others but PEOPLE (BUYERS AND SELLERS)PLEASE!! DONATE!! I for one don't want to HAVE to start paying a fee!! I would rather it be on a honor system! $1500 is a lot of money to come up with all at once to keep the site running smoothly, A lot for one man to have to dig up! I got on here yesterday morning and every time I clicked on the site I got a 404 ERROR!! I used another web browser,..still no 6br forum,
PANIC set in,..where did the forum go?? must have been doing upgrades BUT,.......What if one day you clicked on the site and there were no site?....for some it would be no big deal, they would just move on, but for many of us it would be a very sad day as this site is apart of our daily life! I cruise the members from time to time and many of them have been members for years with low post count but almost exclusively there posts have been on the classifieds with NO site donation below there names?? or people with HUGE post counts with no site donations! obviously they like the site they are on it all the time blabbing away, post after post and no donations! This is not a plea for you people that steadily donate, it's for the ones who NEVER have donated and for the one time donations, when you take a subscription to a magazine you pay monthly/bi-annually/annually Usually, so please treat the site like any other subscription that you are taking,..Thank you

Well fellas were getting a few donations coming in, we have a long ways to go but each donation helps a lot, for those recent donations that have not been recognized please be patient the Forum boss and moderators, administrators and anyone that can help has been working on getting the new server up and working, the forum boss won't forget you, and thank you very much for taking the time and funds to help out

Hey guy's I know it has already been said but the Forum Boss put the new donation button at the top of the page instead of on the side, it is in the same line as all our vendors and it is the big read one in the center, much easier to find then the old one. for you guys that feel this site is important to you open your wallets and give the forum boss a helping hand in keeping this site running smoothly by giving what you can, remember if you don't immediately and you probably won't see your status updated to contributor remember the forum boos is the only one that does that and with over 17000 members to look after and a site to manage it takes time sometimes to get it all done but rest assured if you send the funds you will get recognized and it is appreciated, thanks in advance for our next donation

I still see posts from people not knowing how to donate . Because of suggestions we've got a big red box at the top now with a "DONATE TO SITE" message- - - just click on it as well as the other tried and trued ways given in this post.

When your contribution gets processed by the Boss, yours will say Site Contributor also. The other designation relates to how many posts you have made on the site 100, 200, 500 I think. Keep pounding away on the keyboard and you will get there and thanks for the contribution Sir.
