How To Legally Buy Ammo Online In California

The background check is such a crazy part. I was in the business in California is back through the 90’s and we thought it sucked back then. I left for Oregon but sadly I’m just getting surrounded by the same craziness up here. Up here they’ve introduced a 20 rounds per month bill, it’s nucking futs.
Yea, all the crazy's moved up from Cali and brought Cali with them.

Most californians who want to leave are the conservatives. Lots of my friends have left. Back in the day, the neighborhood where I live was conservative. But too many conservatives moving out and liberals moving in (would you move there as a conservative?) and my neighborhood has taken a big shift to the left.

As soon as my career is over I'll be leaving.

Those who say just pack up and leave either have nothing but their hands and *ss or assume thats all those here have.

People leave California all the time. It's easier than most places. The greatly inflated land values mean you bring one helluva golden parachute with you to the new place. Someone moving out of a place like the middle of nowhere Kansas is stuck. Their land doesn't sell for as much and they have to take a step down in lifestyle in order to afford something elsewhere.

What any of us in California and other states that start this stupid ammo buying law/s, is purchase and plan ahead while you can.
As for ordering on line anymore, don't get into trouble trying to circumvent the law. Just have your gun dealer order in any of what you want and play safe.

This is meant to track those crazies that hoard ammo like a lunatic- you know those guys that have 3 guns and 250rds of ammo stockpiled
I couldn't move to CA if I had to. I have way too many guns and too much ammo to be nutty enough to try and move it....again!
I have 250 rounds of ammo for guns I don't even own any longer!
LOL

No limit on how much ammo you can own in ca, or how many guns you can own. Don't ask me how I know.

BTW, there are a few gun dealers around who will receive your ammo for free just to provide good customer service and to keep the liberals from achieving their goal of just making ammo more expensive so you have to buy less.

you're kidding, right?

This applies only to ordering ammunition from out of state.

Face to face purchases currently are the same as anywhere else (though that may change a bit [not much, though, IMO] if the background check thing goes through and actually gets implemented.)

I would drive out of state and buy ammo so California does not get one cent more of your money than they have to get.. Just make the trip worth it.

Problem is, you would still be breaking the law. Part of the California ammo bill says that any ammunition transfer must be from a registered ammunition dealer (commonly called an FFL, but I believe that is a misnomer. You can be a registered CA ammo dealer without holding an FFL.) The other part states that it is illegal to "import ammunition" into California without being a registered ammunition dealer.

I'm not saying that you'd be caught or prosecuted, but rather that the plan is, in theory, illegal.

Well that is what I would do. Ignoring an Unconstitutional law is not violating the law. That law blatantly violates the 2nd Ammendment.

Have you ever rolled through a stop sign which is generally against the law? Not too many people leave their state because of running a stop sign. How many California AS members can’t get the ammo they need to hunt, compete in shooting events or just target shoot in CA?. We have property in TX and CA and shoot competitively in both.
Ready?....go back to Bitching
Ben

I sure do feel sorry for the normal folks stuck in that country. If it wasnt for the good folks i know id say run the wall up the eastern border of cali. What a disaster.

I just read on “Drudge Report” about a gallup survey that shows there are more conservatives living in California than there are liberals. Don’t conservatives in calif. Vote?

As long as you did not mentioned it they would never know. Ever.

If only they felt that way...lol , the 2a was put in place so laws like these wouldn't be made along with alot of crap these days , much less what they would like to do.... Unfortunately it's up to the people to use their rights.... The most basic is voting , not even half of Americans get off the couch and do even that.... The founders of this country would kick us right in the sack if they were still around....

It was already stated, if you don’t like it move, if you can’t move then join the NRA or GOA, and/or play the same games liberals do and mobilize the masses to vote in YOUR interest. Anything less than that you’re just spinning your wheels.

And before anyone complains about finding a job or moving is hard, I’ve done it 9 times, and I’m only 30. I’m intimately familiar with housing values and property taxes just from moving a city over. It’s not that hard to move. Also, the one blessing about California is that you guys pay triple what the flyover states pay for the same houses. So when you leave you should have some money if your pocket. My dad did it 30 years ago when he escaped Strong Island, NY for Georgia. If he can do it, you can too.

If you still say you can’t, then just say you value your current lifestyle more than your guns, hunting, and shooting. Nothing wrong with that either.

An UCF engineer just recently found out the hard way about ignoring the law. He converted his AR15 to full auto. When he was caught, after his roommate snitched on him, he told the police that he didn’t like that law, so he didn’t care if he broke it. Not saying that I don’t agree with the student. I do, but I don’t agree with him enough to spend time in federal prison.

Just be careful....
