HOW TO GLUE SCOPE MOUNT TO ACTION?

I was told that gluing a one piece scope mount on my action would make it stiffer for mounting a long barrel? Is this true? Are three other benefits to this? What is the basic process and why do you use for glue?

Thanks! Other than for correcting differences between mount and action, is there any benefit to doing this?

the big thing with bedding the base is being able to put it on flat , or true, so it does not put stress into your scope . Jim

And stress your action! Just like a bad bedding job, only on the other side.
