How to get my Bat M Action to not "eject" rounds?

Right now, I have a Sako Extractor on my Bat Model M action and wanted to know how I go about modifying the bolt to not eject the round out of the chamber and to leave it in the action so I can manually remove the brass.

Thanks.

Be aware if it has an ejection port opposite the loading port and a sako type extractor the brass will only go out that side unless it falls off the bolt face when you pull the bolt back. Need to check all that before you get too far

I have a right bolt, right eject set up. I watched the fclass, shiraz video and his rounds just dump into his action and does not necessarily eject out. This is sort of what I want so I don't have to block my brass when ejecting so my rounds don't eject 3 feet down to the floor if I'm on a bench or onto dirt when I'm prone.

You can also shorten the ejector spring a little. It will not fling them as far. Mine just barely lays them out of the gun. I lay a towel on the bench to stop them from rolling off. Go a little at a time because a little makes a difference. Matt

What if I just simply took the spring out of the ejector or removed the ejector all together? Would this do what I want it to do? Would there be any ill effects?

Many do this. Some plug the hole with brass, some just leave it open. Some just shorten the spring. So long as you aren't shooing extremely hot rounds you shouldn't see any imprint of the hole on your brass. --jerry
