How to find nodes on Quick Load

I apologize in advance if this has already been asked but I tried searching the archives and could not come up with this question in the past. Just started messing around with Quick Load and entered in all my info for a 22BR and I cannot for the life of me find where you guys come up with these nodes. Can someone please explain how to find these in the program.

It looks like what I'm looking for except I cannot get any numbers to change when I change the barrel length. Must be something with a setting on my computer maybe? I've just seen in the past where guys will ask a question about using a certain powder for a cartridge and somebody will fire back that the nodes are like 3 different velocities. I've never known how they find that. So you have to combine info from the OBT and QL to obtain these?

Probably your anti-virus is blocking... Look around the Excel spreadsheet and look for anything that says it is protecting you from macros.

I tried that. I disabled macros in security like it tells you to do if it is protecting you. Still can't get any numbers to change. Do you have to do anything other than change the barrel length? I've played around with it alot but can't figure anything out. I'm the first to admit I'm not very computer savvy.

I can remember when I first tried it, Norton ask if I wanted to disable the macros, not thinking it through, I said “yes” and found myself not being able to enter the barrel length… Said “Dah” and went up top where it said something about security warning and and disabled the protection and I was able to enter the barrel length, the “Optimal Barrel Time, ms” immediately changed.

I don’t think the “First node number” does anything except it changes the first node it displays, so if you want say more than 7 nodes, you enter a higher number and the whole thing shifts down.

You have to enable macros in Excel...
