How to check your sight in while hunting without firing!

All my Nightforce scopes are made in Japan. I carry my rifles like I do my great grand children. I trust my scopes to perform every time. I have faith that the air bags in my outfits will work especially if they came from Autolive here in Utah. No much faith in Takata from Japan.

If it's a bolt action, I simply remove the bolt, find a sturdy resting spot, and plain old- fashion bore sight on an object ~ 40 yards away.
