How to best repair this broken stock

Nodak7mm no I was not aware of the problem on the stock and the seller said he had not noticed it. He did offer a refund if I returned the rifle but I had got my buddy to transfer it before I noticed and still felt like the gun was worth the money. I am just going to get it repaired and pay who I have do it. I guess the lesson is we need to ask sellers questions since even a seller with quite a bit of good feedback made the mistake of not knowing about what he was selling. He said he had been shooting it not sure how it was missed. Thanks for all the suggestions. PG

I would drill it and pin it with threaded rod if it were me, just to be on the safe side..

I second this fix. Fairly easy to do if you have the proper tools and skill. Well planned and executed, no visible evidence of the repair.

This kind of break is common when wood grain runs wrong for the loads that part of the stock has to endure just in normal handling.

Strut I dont think it was sent with any insurance at all. This is another thing all of us buyers need to confirm if it had gotten lost I would have been out $2500. I would have blown my top. PG
