The small side-viewing mirror screws/affixes onto the end of the bore scope probe (rod), and the mirror image on the screen is focused by screwing the mirror in more or less on the rod threads until the image becomes focused. However, in my experience keeping it in focus while proceeding down the bore can be a problem since the mirror attachment is not snug on the screw threads can somewhat unscrew or screw in farther while in the bore rendering the image on the screen out of focus. To resolve this problem I am thinking about using a touch of low strength (222) Locktite on the rod end threads to keep the mirror attachment from changing its position on the screw threads once focused. Does this seem like a reasonable approach to fix this problem? All thoughts are welcome. Also, is a 60 degree mirror attachment available to look further down the bore?
