How the #$%& do I get Armor-Tuff Paint out of the bore of this barrel?

f'rinstance, acetone won't TOUCH CeraKote. Nor any other solvent I know of

You may well be right but I've tried to remove CeraKote overspray from the back lugway on a Rem and on a BAT and in both cases even steel wool had little effect.

I guess by "soaking" you mean to immerse the part(s) for long periods? Kinda hard to immerse overspray. Altho that might have worked on a buggered up bolt we asked NOT to be coated......

BTW, when I refer to "CeraKote" I'm referring only to the highgrade stuff since now they've come out with 'air dry' and 'low heat' versions

The coating on the barrel was so sloppily done that the OD of the barrel at the gas block was 0.753, thanks to the paint/coating.

I literally cannot get the BCM gas block on, unless i wirebrush this coating off.

I’ve heard, have not tried, that sand blast with salt. It’s hard enough to break through finish but breaks down on impact, so no heavy abrasions on the steel. I have a shit cerakote job on a gun I’ll be doing this too. Mask and hit it lightly if you want to go that route. I’ll post once I try it myself. Too many irons in the fire right now though

Should. Suppressor threads allow for large tolerances.
