How old are you?

I will be 69 in two weeks and still not doing to bad. I just finished competing in a 3 day tactical rifle match in Wyoming with my son in law. Two days of it were cross country courses in 90+ degree heat. Had a ball and met some damn fine shooters!!!

Snipers Hide is where you paint your gun green and it will shoot 1/4" groups all day long, Hopefully they hurry up and get some experience...

Eh I'm 49.8. I just found out my great uncle is 99 and a war hero...not likely I'll match him I think.

And by war hero I mean he got a medal that was one down from the top ( he was a navigator on a bomber).

As impressed as I am with my relatives, I am not keen on the current definition of "hero". While my navigator great uncle might have been competent, how was he a hero?

I hate the designation of " hero" to every shlub that did his job and survived. Fact is we should respect the folks that did their jobs, and we should hail the individuals that perform better than most. The only folks that should get the title of hero should be those that perform some fantastic feat of bravery or skill. Let's not cheapen the title of "hero" by applying it to every volunteer that joins the forces.

I hope folks don't think my high standard of "hero" means I don't respect military service, and know I am grateful for the sacrifice of the volunteers that have given so much.

I'm 72 but don't feel it. I do Sudoku and look for challenges. We just traded boats and now have an older 25' cuddy cabin with at least 100 switches. Boat has not been run in 3 years and it did not come with an instruction manual. Even transferring my big Lowrance Fish finder with GPS is giving me major challenges. I have an old family double barrel shotgun and i'm totally refinishing it including screws, internal workings, etc. After making mistakes on this shotgun, I will refinish a Browning Superposed that I purchase before Vietnam and left it with my brothers - they took care of it like they do their guns, terrible. For me, it seems that my brain functions better when facing a challenge. As I have a major back problem, and as the old man of our hunting group, I hunt sitting in a chair overlooking a high saddle adjacent to a wilderness area - I can still shoot quite well and expect to become the camp cook in a few years. I believe if you don't use it, you lose it. Sorry about mentioning shotguns in this fabulous forum.

33. I guess I feel 33. The only difference from 33 and 23 is 20 pounds, less hair and I get hangovers. I use to be able to party till 2am and wake up and go to work the next morning at 6am and not feel like a poo. Not anymore! Lol. I give a big congrates on you guys in your 60's and up!!!

Lets just say that what I use to do all night ,now takes all night to do ! :-[

Now about Cat Shooter ,he didn't bring T-Rex to school, he hunted him. ;)

Regards,

Joisey Steve, now in the Carolinas

Hello all 1953 was a great year. The Corvette and myself were born. That makes 62 if you dont want to waste any brain cells. The older you get the faster the year goes. Christmas will be here in a couple of months. Stephen

Yeah, I'm kinda young too, just 65....

Been working on health issues this past year, neglected it pretty badly last several years running my own business. I've lost 25lbs down to 145, dropped body fat to 13% and eat and sleep a lot better. Have gotten my blood pressure and cholesterol way down and my Dr is very happy with my progress. Things are looking up!

According to the calendar, 41.

According to the day, between 19 and 66.

The "19" days usually don't end well nowadays.
