Rick is correct about the used price range. I have owned 6 of them and still have 2 or 3. The early ones were iffy. March had a lot of complaints because of the fact that they used 2 different coatings. One coating was optically superior to the other. Why they did that who knows but one coating made the scopes very dark compared to the other one. I can tell by the box that it was a very early one even if the serial number wasn't on there. One of the people that I deal with in Japan verified that the 48X High Master is actually a 50. When they released the HM series of scopes they didn't want the 50X moniker associated with the new scope because of all the complaints at the old 50.Here's a picture of the box end. What are these selling for these days? It includes polymer lens covers.
