how much copper is too much?

I have an area in this .308 hart barrel that I cannot remove this 2-3" area from two of the grooves. Accuracy is great <1/2" moa. I have used wipe out and Barnes copper remover already. I didn't want to use jb or something unless this problem will get worse. Round count is 500-600 rounds. I posted a picture from the bore scope but it is not the greatest image...I haven't had the scope long enough to tell which fowling and copper are normal vs what should I remove. What would you do?

Thanks for the quick reply. I started with a patch of GM TEC/Kroil to remove the carbon and big deposits. Then a dry patch or two. Followed by the wipe out accelerator and wipe out foam. I waited overnight and borescoped. I saw that area so I repeated the wipe out again overnight. Just a little blue on the patch. Then I tried some Barnes cleaner with the wet patch/brush/dry patch. Then I put kroil into the barrel to protect it. Most of the barrel is clean, I just have this one little area....

Weird...what bullets caused the fouling?

i usu. run several patches of TEC thru as well as brush with TEC before I soak in wipeout, but bogging down the wipe-out seems to be a non-issue since you treated it AGAIN...so I am a little confused.

Do you have anything that contains ammonia? or Bore Tech Eliminator?

You're right gunamonth, I probably would have never noticed this before I got the bore scope. I have been shooting the 168 and 175 SMK for years and never noticed it before. I will try your solution.

I hope as more bore scopes get out to the public, more information will be available to interpret what we are looking at. Right now it is just a toy, but thanks for helping me understand what I am seeing.
