How many reloads before annealing

Are there any videos of the inside of the AMP while annealing? I wonder how "red" the brass gets using it.

I reload some 22-250 for a friend. Even annealing to 750° temiplaq temp, I kept seeing split necks. Bumped up the time on the annealer to get a good glow on them and the splitting has stopped.

Read the reports at the https://www.ampannealing.com/ website under the Media tab. There is a Temperature vs Time graph showing the max temp exceeded 1000F then cooled rapidly. It just so happens that a dull red glow in a darkened room is just over 1000F.

I’ve had a lot of whiskey and I prefer Evan Williams green label over anything. Knob creek and Jw blue label didn’t impress me

I am gong to try salt bath to see if it is quicker and more consistent than using a torch.

And I’ll take a neat shot of Gentlemen Jack or Makers Mark Cast Strength over green label Evan any day.

Try some bullet rye hmmmm smooth.

To answer your question from a non anealer.
I'm getting ready to toss some RP brass.
All different lots, all mixed together, all was factory loaded ammo when purchased.
All been fired countless times I'd say some 18 to 20 times, some about 10.
Never annealed, mostly only ever neck sized.
Occasionally FL sized maybe 3 times.
Factory rifle shootin in high.2's low .3's.

Now I'm working with a fresh batch of Lapua.
1 firing on 40 cases, all 40 neck sized and prepped for second round. Will keep track of firings on this batch.
Because I generally only neck size I feel I'm not working the brass as much therefore not seeing the need to aneal.

FWIW only 1 split neck on the RP brass.

Hey "
Salt bath, booze and a torch!
What's goin on here?
Let me explain this for you bro.
Draw a bath for your lady add bath salts
Pour her a glass of wine, light some candles!!
Where's your romance?

To get back to the OP: I shoot, anneal, reload and repeat. Bully just sent me some used Lapua 223 cases. 15-20 firings by his memory. Some split necks. I’m going to see how many times they can be shot. They just got annealed, resized and inspected. Loading tomorrow.;)

As for accuracy, I’ve run cases as many as 25-30 firings without any detectable loss of accuracy, and that was firing from strictly match-grade barrels in a return to battery machine rest fixture.
A friend used one unprepped 308 case in his match rifle clamped in a RTB machine rest the same as the Tubb and Tompkins families used checking their stuff. Full length sized in a neck-honed RCBS FL die bumping shoulder. 002" after twisting a nylon brush in the neck. 43 grains of IMR4064 metered into that 210M reprimed case then a Sierra 168 "standard" seated. (Several of Sierra's most accurate match bullets were called "standards" and used to qualify test barrels as they tested well under their 168 HPMK spec of 1/4th MOA average at 100.)

57 shots at 100 yards went into about 3/8" ES with that case that got trimmed back about .010" to 2.000" every dozen shots.
