How many ranges ...?

I've been shooting a lot of new ranges this summer, and this came up in conversation. I'd never made a list. When I first started shooting F class in Oak Ridge I never imagined I'd ever go anywhere else to shoot. Two matches a month starting in March or April until October keeps one pretty busy (then there is deer season) Then a couple of folks convinced me to go to the FCNC in Raton in 2012... that popped the cork for me.

My current list is up to 19:

On my list of to do:
Bridgeville long range. Only shot 600 there.
Colonie, NY. They only do 4 matches a yr, and one coincides with the Sinclairs, but I'll get there, it's actually the closet 1000 yard range to me since I moved to NH.
Reid Range in PA. I hear they put on a good match.

Colonie, NY (Forbes) has a long range match on 9/8 & 9/9. I believe it is 5x20 at 1000 yards across both days.

Mike, the only way I make Palo, and I might do it anyway, is if I go and shoot the Practical match in 2 weeks with my F-TR rifle. They have a regular match next weekend but I'm flying home for Labor Day. After that I'm leaving here and going straight to Raton for the FCNC.

I've had just the opposite year.
I had expected to go afield often but settled into my 4 local matches instead.

R-e-a-d-e is about the only place I have gone.

Without a doubt we have so many great matches around the country now! The traveled shooter is a better shooter also... a little more ready for anything.

Just starting. Laurel and Shreveport and Henry co. I bring my wife and camper make a week out of it. Charlie Daniels in Shreveport next month. Hope to make Memphis next month too. Headed out West next year.
