How Many Guns in the Collection?

This can be rifles, pistols, revolvers, etc.
I keep having to move around 9mm pistols in the safe just to get to whatever I'm looking for at the time. I simply don't shoot the 9mm much anymore and I have sold maybe 6 or more so far, but there's maybe another 6 or so to go.

Yes, I know the 9 can do anything but walk on water now, but I have just moved on. No, I'm not slamming The 9mm, I simply don't shoot it anymore.
What firearm is it that is always in your way when you open up your safe?

None - I downsized to only the essentials.

However, if the past is any barometer of the future, I will probably regret disposing of some of those firearms but at my age, I need to downsize to prepare for smaller quarters.
Same here.

We downsized a few years ago when we decided to full time in the RV. About 30 down to 4. I do regret a couple, a Colt 1903 and SP101 for different reasons. The others I don't. They either went to someone who could use them more than I or were sold off for other things.

Now that we are back in a 'stick and mortar' home I have acquired two more rifles. A total of 4 rifles and two handguns. And I may get rid of one of the rifles in the near future.

I don't want to have a gun I don't use on a regular basis. Just something else my wife or family would have to deal with when I go. Yes, getting old sucks :)

I talk a pretty good game about getting rid of stuff that I don't use much, but that is about as far as it goes. -- TALK

I don't really know how many guns I've got, so it's probably too many. I try to keep the ones I use most, to the front of the safe, but when I have to dig, it's a pain.

I've got a hunch that some of y'all are hoarders. I'm glad I'm not that bad! ;) jd

NONE ! I have a Glock G22 and a Drop-in 9mm Barrel ; half a dozen magazines for each , and a P-64 Makarov 9 x 18 with a couple of mags for it . And more than enough ammo for each to deal with what-ever !

My main safe has 6 pistol pouches on the door that hold my preferred shooters. Then I bought the zippered pouches for the rest. My biggest brainstorm was to put tags on the pouches. The pouches are laid on the shelf with the tags showing.
Rifles are a lost cause. I always seem to get the itch to shoot the one that’s buried in the back!

it doesnt seem to work that way for me. Seems no matter what i want to get out its always in the back no matter whats in the front. mabie one of these days ill get smart and just grab one up front “ whatever it is” and go.

Due to life circumstances at one point I needed to downsize and sold probably 75% of my collection but made a deal with myself that if in a few years there was something I really regretted selling I'd replace it with something equal or better. 10 years later I've replaced one Contender factory barrel I sold with a custom barrel and that's it. At this point frankly I don't want any of it back, I'm so much happier with the current simplified version of my hobbies than the gear circus they used to be.

They don't eat, they don't require medical attention or a vet. They don't pout if you don't shoot them for a while, they don't get jealous if you spend more time with one of the others. They don't need watered or pruned or mowed. Yes I own more than I should. I was gifted a safe, I sanded it and primed it and painted it and moved it into the house. It was full the first day. That was a few months ago. I don't know where I would put it but I need a third safe. I will not apologies for having too many, I enjoy them and hope one day my days will be spent fixing the project guns and not a lawn mower or the fence or house.
