What is the longest you have had to wait?
Go get your rifles right away, get any deposit money you have may have given him, and tell him you'll be finding another gunsmith.
I've had entire action blueprinting and barrel/chamber jobs done by my gunsmith in less than a week. Two weeks if he's busy. Of course that time doesn't include waiting on actions or barrels to be made by other companies.
The man works tirelessly and does very nice work. He's there every day from sun-up to sundown working to make sure people get there guns in a timely manner. Great guy. His name is Kenneth Sedon and he owns "Firearms Machining Service" in Kalispell, MT
I understand some gunsmiths are very busy, but 19 months is absolutely ridiculous. That sounds like pure laziness to me.
First taxidermist I ever took a deer to was like that. A year and a half later and he hadn't even started on my mount and lost my cape. Needless to say, I never use him anymore and believe he is out of business now anyhow. Can't imagine why...
