how long for a letter to cross the US

on or about june 11 I sold a set of dies and brass to one of our members, he bought them on the 12 june, the 14 he sent me a check and PM me he sent it so I sent him the dies and brass the next day,his porfile showed him to be a good guy whitch he is, 5 or 6 days later he PM me he got the stuff so I am thinking a day or 2 I will see my check. I count the days till the 13 day, PM him In the morning it isnt here, it came that after noon.why am I making a long story out of this? So when you dont get a check or your stuffin 7 or 8 days It might be another7 or 8 days. I learned some thing from it carl f

this is why i usually ship items upon arrival of payment. i will send a message when payment arrives, then when i ship it--along with a tracking number. the only problems i have had thus far is the items arriving in one piece or without damage.

I hold stuff till i deposit payment but i buy alot and i have to say i get letters and small package across the entire us in no mare than 3 days normally, 2 is about the norm for me in CA

One day if it's a bill, weeks if it's a payment!!

I bought a barrel from a guy just after Black Friday a few years ago.
He shipped it USPS Priority/Insured,,
He provided me with scans of the mailing receipts. Long story short
I received it on the 30th day!!
There was no entry in the Postal service tracking data beyond it being received the day he sent it till the day I got it,, nothing.

The system is not infallible.

Patience and perseverence.

Patience can be hard when you're accustomed to recieving items in 3 to 4 days.

Especially in these days of instant gratification.

My wife recently sold an item on eBay to a woman in Israel (we live in Arkansas.) The order was placed on a Friday, and my wife shipped the item the next day and sent an email confirming shipment. The following Tuesday (3 days after shipment), she got an email from the lady wanting to know why she hadn't received the item yet.

Patience is a virtue. ;D

Next time you pay a Master/Visa bill, no matter where you live, take note of the day you mail it and note the time its taken from your account. Send a check for a payment to MasterCard from NY and it's withdrawn from your account in two days.....and it's sent to Delaware!
