How is this Possible???

The guy at Brux told me it was the smaller groove diameter that made the throat longer. I think he is saying that the 1.5 degree angle would be longer in a .236 vs a .237, and since it's an angle it could allow the bullet to move farther forward.
That would only be true if the bullet contact point was at the bore diameter.

The difference between a .236" and a .237" diameter contact point at a 1.5 degree angle is about .019".

So, it looks like an OOR situation of less than 3 tenths can throw the ogive contact point off by 0.010 (assuming 1.5° throat angle).

Not sure what oor means but the shoulder to the throat is fixed on the reamer.

So I fired three cars in the Brux and compared measurements with the Krieger for shoulder length, shoulder diameter, neck diameter, and diameter at the .200 line.

The only difference was the shoulder length was between .0005" and .001" longer out of the Brux barrel.

I would think that if the throat was wallowed out I would see a larger neck diameter with the Brux?

I used a Mitituyo digital caliper as well as a mic to measure.

This chamber was cut with the lathe I recently re-leveled and aligned. Headstock is aligned to .0003" over 6", and tailstock is spot on. I used a JGS floating reamer holder. The parts for my pusher are sitting on the bench waiting for me to find time to make it.

He is correct on the cut portion of the throat being longer, but the diameter at the point that the ogive contacts should be the same diameter.
