How important is an adjustable butt on an F-class rifle?

sounds like you need to tighten the front bag a bit. I have friends who shoot big 30cals with these stocks and do very well with them. Lee

Thanks for the Information Gary.

Lee, One thing to remember for Fclass is you have to be able to pick your rifle up with out moving the rest so there are limits to how tight you can have your ears.

Hi Lee

As I said just my opinion and personal experience shared.
My bag was a tight as rules allow.
Are your friends rifles f class (no brake)?
I like the stock (I have one) but not in a heavy torque cal.
With regards

+1 on the Shehane stocks. I have a 6br in one of the MBR Tracker stocks. I do love it! However for F class! I just have too much trust in Precision rifles & tools to go anywhere else! The customer service is just as awesome as their product as well! You will find a Gunsmith, and stock builder that loves his work, and cares more about the product he puts out than the profit he makes! You can't go wrong there!!!!!!

I have not shot nearly as much as most here but I do know I have a very hard time getting and keeping comfortable. I fatigue fast when holding an uncomfortable position and cramp or tighten up also. I know I could not shoot well if these things were even taking a bit of my attention away. I have always wondered if I am the only one who feels these things still dont know but comfort goes a very long way to shooting well for me. PG

Thanks, that is the kind of info I have been looking for. I have been talking with Carl Bernosky, he can customize any of his stocks to your preferences, and his prices are reasonable. I am thinking about his low profile benchrest stock with adj cheekpiece and the forend cut down more in line with Bowman's Precision Low boy stock. Does anyone have any thoughts about that?
Thanks,
Joe
