How do you store or clean barrels when using HBN?

I have started using HBN again and was wondering which solvents will remove the carbon and powder fouling but leave the HBN in the bore?
I have heard you can get so many rounds between cleaning, but I dont like to put a gun away in the safe with a fouled barrel, letting the carbon go hard.
I like to put something in the barrel before I put it away to prevent rust anyway, but didnt want to have to recoat the barrel time I bring it out since I only get 2 sighters each F Class match.

I ask about the same question a week ago.

Didnt see that one coverdog.
I use a borescope regularly during cleaning, but with HBN being transparent unlike Moly, it is hard to see which solvents or chemicals might remove HBN.
I dont suppose anyone knows of any scientific studies done on what removes HBN and what doesnt?
I want to keep the HBN and clean everything else out.

To ease your concerns just recoat the barrel with the alcohol/HBN solution before you leave for a match. Your sighters will be very close.

I use hBN coated bullets in my long range 243 wssm.
And so far, naked bullets & naked barrel in my new 284 Win. Would it be better to coat the bullets or the bore or both?
If either works the same, it would certainly be much simpler to swab the barrel after each cleaning, rather than coating bullets.

I picked HBN because it apparently doesn't have any sulfur in it which is said to cause problems with the others. It is hard to see on the bullets.

Nomad47. With HBN, you pre coat the barrel to put a layer all the way down the tube, then you coat the bullets.
If you coat just the bullets, you get some copper towards the end of the barrel as the HBN wears of the bullets in the 1st few shots as it coats the barrel.
If you coat only the barrel, it will will wear off in a few shots.
