How do you make old Gen SEB rests smoother?

I have been using my 1st generation SEB rest for a while now and like it overall. I have found though that I would like it to be slightly notchy if I am trying to move it just a very small amount. Even if I back it right off, it takes a bit of to and fro to get the cross hair just where I want it on the X ring. Has anyone here tried anything on the Teflon slides to smoothen it a bit?

Buy the counterweight that attaches to the front of the rest opposite of where you install the joystick, it makes things a lot smoother.

EC is correct on the counter weight.
A counter balance weight (about 2 lbs for LV/HV gun) will help to smoothen the action and will accept more weight on the top, in the same time.
Just a side note that adding weight to the opposite side where you install the joystick is only work if you use the rest in "normal mode" (up for up, left for left etc). If you use the rest in "reverse mode" (up for down etc) you need weight on the joystick's side.

You can get the counter balance weight from the US dealer. (it's very inexpensive). Or you can also make one yourself without so hard.

......

A little "tip" is, to set the tension lightly (=as long as the top doesn't move/has "play" if you "shake" it) and hold the joystick while shooting/firing. The important thing is only to lay/rest your "joystick hand" on the bench top steadily when firing the round. You can also make much finer adjustment, this way.

......
I can fix/improve your (gen1) rest for free if you are able to send the "coaxial unit" only (without the rest top assy, base etc) by USPS to me and provide about $40 for the return shipping - back to your address. (Your gen1 rest will be/will work as the gen2 rest).
Let me know.
I just would like to give good service & support my products.

Hope this help.

I have made my own counter weight but would like to make it still smoother for those time when we are trying to get it just where we want the reticle in the X ring. I didnt know if there was any certain type of lube people where using?
