How do you ID your reformed brass?

Just wondering what might be the best way to identify reformed brass. I have 20 VT formed from Rem 221 brass and would like to mark it in some manner so I can ID it at a glance. Is there some way to chemically die it that is permanent with out harming the brass?

Thanks,
Gary

I put a strip of masking tape on the outside of my boxes with information when needed. This is how I organize load testing or anything that needs separation.

I was just talking about this to one of my co-workers. He resizes a lot of Lake City brass to different calibers. I thought that marking inside of the extractor groove with one of these might work:

I just sharpie the base. Even after tumbling it will stay in the lettering. Can use some yello nail polish also and use some acetone to wipe exess off

I use Remington primers vs Federal to distinguish 20 VT from Fireball, or 50g ZMax vs VMax different color tips. I also use different colors of Sharpie and color the extractor groove. Also I know that Lake City 09 is my Vartarg, 08 is my 221, and 07 is my 221 Gonzo. Putting the ammo in a different color plastic box and marking it prominently is my final recommendation.

Big old X across the backend with a big sharpie. At least it makes me think before dropping it in the chamber.

Used to use just a dot on primer, but eyes are quitting...

Thanks to all who replied, great ideas. I did order the metal marking pen that Toolbreaker mentioned (through the Amazon link on this page), I'll let you all know how it works out.

Thanks again,
Gary
