How do you configure the Tubb Heartbreaker sling?

Clyde - just do it the way I showed you Saturday (and David Tubb showed me!). Move the hinge point (with the washer/bolt) so that it and the buckle are the same place and they can rotate from the same "axis" when mounted on your arm. You will probably also want to cut the excess leather (wider) strap piece (to the right of the washer in the first photo).

Thanks, it looks like the key is that you have to move the washer/bolt to a new hole in the wide strap of the sling to make it all line up properly. Also, I see how the wide strap then needs to be trimmed and probably the narrow strap also. I can now see how that works from your pictures and explanation but did not realize that the Tubb sling was just a kit that you have to modify yourself. You are fortunate to have had Tubb show you how to rig it. Thanks for sharing the info and the great pictures, maybe this will also help others that have a Tubb sling. This is all very complicated for us knuckle dragging service rifle shooters.

OK, I got the changes made to the sling as morpheus recommended and bata tested the position and recorded the new sling adjustment and I am ready for the next match. I have great expectations for higher scores. Thanks Morpheus for the pictures and explanation.
