How Do I Prime SRP 243 Cases

I just purchased 150 Peterson 243 Win cases for small rifle primers and just realized I have no way of priming them. I normally use the old version of the Lee handheld priming tool, but there is no SRP 243 Win shell holder offered for that. My only other alternatives appears to be either using the priming tool on my Forester COAX press or modifying a 308 shell holder for the Lee. I'm sure someone has solved this issue, but I can't find anything written about it. Any recommendations?

I've been using the frankford arsenal hand primer for almost two years now. It's a great adjustable depth option that comes with a hard case and all of the shell holders for around 70$. The price has gone up since I bought mine but it seems the home shopping network has them for under 60. Who would have thought.

Are you sure about that? In the olden days I primed BR and SRP 308 with my Lee hand primer.

The bigger question is how do you deprime them? You need a small decapping pin in your die..... I was just able to get smaller pins from Forster for my dies. .. Your mileage may vary.

Good luck

Redding makes undersized decapping pins. I bought a 10 pack.

Do you know if they fit in the Frankfort Armory hand deprimer tool? I have been getting the Lee depriming pins and having a buddy machine them down. I would love to find a source I could just buy a batch from.

Just to let you know - the Lee hand priming tool (old-style) worked great! I just used the SRP tray with the No. 4 shell holder. There have been some other threads on here discussing difficulty priming Peterson cases. My new Peterson 243 Win SRP cases primed perfectly. The primers (BR4) fit tightly, but the pressure required was not excessive and the resistance was extremely smooth and consistent case to case. Which leads me to believe the pockets are formed very well.
