Just talked to a good buddy of mine who said he has 3 boxes of Hornady 2506 110g eldx that fails to fire. He called Hornady and they claimed it was a rifle issue lol. Funny how everything else goes bang in it though with no issues.

I don't mean, nor want to turn this into a Hornady bashing thread. I use their ELDM and VMAX bullets in every rifle I load for with nothing but great results.

Very possible it IS the rifle!! My Ruger 300 black out will not fire CCI 450 magnum primers! I’ve tried every other primer possible and all go bang fine but 450s is a 90% failure rate. Messaged Ruger weeks ago and no response. It’s not a primer or headspace issue either as all have been accounted for and function just fine on other rifles.

Edit: I have jammed the lands to have zero headspace and still won’t work and all suspicious rounds fired perfect in other guns. Degreased firing pin and spring and went through it with a fine toothed comb. Fellas on Reddit who have all had similar problems with Rugers, had their bolts replaced and that fixed the issue
