Hornet actions?

If you were to build a custom 22 Hornet what action would you use ? What other components would you use ?
Just want some ideas if it comes to life !!

I would use a Bat SV or S153 R for a repeater.
The CZ mini is just the right size but parts availability would probably be
issue.

I have a browning that started life as a 22 hornet. I was told not to shoot it before I had it rebarreled to 17Ackley Hornet. They are the only left handed hornet actions that I'm aware of so I didn't really have any other options.

I'd keep it simple and just use a CZ 527 Hornet.....all the work is done with the correct boltface, etc. I built a custom 17AH on an old Ruger No.3 carbine that turned out to be exactly what I wanted with no boltface issues whatever. Just a thought.

Thanx for the replies. I currently have a CZ, Browning, and Ruger all in 22 Hornet. I don't like the browning much and shoots crappy (looks great). The Ruger VBZ doesn't do much better (maybe with a single shot follower if one was avail), and last but not least the CZ 527...It shoots great !!! I use a Callhoon single shot follower to accept the longer oal with 40 gr v-maxs. It loves em' with Lil-gun !! I need to replace the trigger on the CZ..sometimes forget to set the trigger...just want/need a single stage for it. Would like to build a nice little stalker with one of them someday.

John I looked for the S153 R that you suggested..I haven't found anything on it. Do you have a link for it ?

I agree. The CZ 527 action is ready to rock for any variation of the 22 Hornet case. Good light "set" trigger, detachable box magazine, small and lightweight action, feeds very well, and reasonably priced. Hell, they offer a rifle with that action chambered in a 22 hornet and they shoot very well if you don't want to waste time building a custom that MAY shoot a just a little better, but surely cost you more money.
