CZ 527 trigger replacement

I much prefer the C-Z SSTs over the triggers on most "store-bought" rifles out there. I am, however, having a problem with light strikes on both 527s I currently own; hope to cure with stiffer striker springs from www.jnpgunsprings.com

Light strikes? Like failure to fire? I just bought a 527 in 17 Hornet. So far I am not too impressed. I own 3 other CZ's one a 527. Had to send this one back for failure to feed and jamming. Then today I have trigger issues. Adjusted it and we'll see. A few times today it just wouldn't fire the round.

Edit: Ordered the spring

Yeah, those C-Zs have their idiosyncrasies and aren't perfect.
FWIW: My .204V was jamming when feeding out of the magazine, but not doing it with a single-shot adapter. Noticed that the stiff box magazine spring was pushing the bullet noses of the first three rounds too high to enter the chamber. Since both the original mag and the extra one were new, I loaded them full and didn't use them, to set the spring tension at a lower rate; also lightly stoned the sharp edges of the feed lips. Did nothing else, and after about a month I was able to use both box mags with no problems.
Am assuming all of my 527 f.t.f.'s were when using the set trigger position, but can't say for sure. Still haven't had time to change to the new spring....

I installed my new spring. I also found a link explaining trigger adjustment. It seems the FTF's happen because the main trigger pull is too heavy so to speak. I reset mine up according to the link and had zero FTF's yesterday in ~75 rounds fired.

If we were satisfied with our triggers, we would not be replacing them, fiddling with them, or querying others for their experience. We are always pursuing something just a little better. Jewell. Shilen. Honed Remingtons. Anschutz. A Martini Int'l Mk II by Karl Kenyon, or one of his Winchester triggers (set for 3 grams and holding safely!) Timney. The list goes ever on. Slowly spoil yourself and your family while you can. You'll be glad you did.

I am amazed that the blacksmith and occasional barrel-maker of yor could come up with a better double-set trigger for his smoke-poles than today's lawyers of the big manufacturers will allow to be produced. How much excellence, how much true wealth and progress have been strangled and destroyed by these lawyers who nurture the monster and feed on greed?

There's no way I would change that trigger. Like the man in the Youtube video says, summer and a winter trigger, but unlike with him, I have the summer trigger and winter trigger set and useable at all times. He's fooling himself if he thinks that he has a summer and winter trigger if he has to use a screwdriver to do it when that set option is available.

I got a 527 in 17 Hornet. I have to admit I was spoiled by my BR Jewels for my Remington 700’s and my Anschutz 54 triggers. I tried the set trigger and it was only slightly better than the normal mode. I bought the Rifle Basic trigger and installed it in my 527. I have it set at about 1 lb and it is OK.

Thought I would add my 2 cents since nobody mention this as an option.

Somebody might have mentioned this already, but the Timney CZ 550 trigger works fine. I did have to adjust a couple of things, but it turned out great.
