Hornady's new 6.5 Creedmmor ?

I saw this new cartridge in a gun magazine. I am surprised that I haven't heard of it in one of these forums. It is essentially the 30 TC necked down to 6.5 caliber. Not sure of the shoulder angle, but it is 48.5 mm long. I didn't see any claimed ballistics. It is said to compare to the 6.5x47 Lapua. Isn't this exactly what we need? Another case in the 22-250 range to neck down to 6mm! Unbelievable.

Chris I agree, but it is inevitable that when a new cartridge is released it won't be long before it has been necked up or down to every caliber that you can get a bullet for.

I think it is our nature to hope that we are going to be the one to find the next PPC.At least it's good business for the reamer makers.

Now if i could only find someone to cut a 17/50BMG chamber the pd's are really gonna be in trouble hahaha.

Was told by a prominent barrel maker first part of Aug that Hornady was working on a 6mm based on the 250 case? Wonder if that is another or if it became a 6.5????
