Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!I have a 25-7prc now, has been a great gun so far at just under 100 rounds.
Rifle:
Tikka action, 22" 1:7.5 mcgowan barrel, rokstock, trijicon tenmile, thunderbeast ultra 7
Load:
Adg 7prc brass necked down using redding s type bushing dies, 134 eld m, n570, 215m
I have settled at 3240fps as these were the best #'s and group I had got with not a ton of load work and playing. Furthest shots yet were 2 shots (cold bore and follow up 5 minutes later on a 11 3/4"plate at 1179 yards and both were hits holding ¹/2 mil for wind. You can hear the surprise in my shooting buddies voice as he had didn't think cold bore would happen in this spot.
I used hornady's listed .645 b.c. at 3240 fps, I may have been 3500, I shot with 7.3 mil and .5 left.Don't you just love it when a plan comes together!
I think the gun gods wanted to test your level of patience with that 25 SAUM then they made up for it with your 25-7 PRC because it appears you're well on your way to being one happy camper. Nice chootin!
Are you finding Hornady's listed BC of those 134's to be accurate or not so much? Using their listed BC it looks like you should have been right around 7.36 mils based on a 100yd zero and I just guessed elevation at 2200 but you were likely a little higher than that.
