Hornady SuperFormance Powder

Do any of you gentlemen have any starting load data for a .270 Win 130 bullets using SuperFormance powder. I will be using Seirra, Hornady and Nosler in my load development. I called Hornady to get starting loads and they were less than helpful and rather abbreviated in their response. Thanks for any guidance.

Hodgdon doesn't reccomend Superperformance powder for the 270 Win. That is all I know about this subject...

Hi Eod,hi chief,hi all

Eod,I know and confirm what Chief just said,which quite puzzles me,because where I'm from(New Caledonia) it's even more complicated to get consistent data or info about this powder in 270 win. Anyway,taking no heed of the alarming sirens,I tried my hands at it,with the help of a newby in rifle shooting,and after collecting some info,computing all of it,and trying to stay as safe as possible,got along quite good with a load of 48.5gr pushing 130g bullets that is pretty steady and accurate. The rifle is a Vanguard 2,24" barrel,brand new,climate here is sub tropical,we tested the loads for hunting,from 48gr to 50 and 48.5g was real nice,no pressure signs,nothing disquieting,just good combo altogether.I can't give any speed figures because we don't have a chrono to do it,but if you have one and can get them when trying,please give me some feed back.Hope it helps.Good shooting.

As Chief says, Hogdon does not recommend the use of that powder in a .270. Oh well, I'll sell it and move on.
