Those 5 boxes (that anyone knows so far) is just sloppy quality control. It may not be loaded ammo but, come on! Has anyone ever fired a round under this unusual condition?? How critical is the result?

Most certainly wouldn't want to hunt big bears with factory ammo that had no flash hole.

Clear example of poor quality control that may omit a vendor from eligibility of renewing a contract. Sorry for your poor experience.

Sure Hornady will stand behind correcting the issue. Understandably our confidence is left a bit shaken as this certainly should not have been allowed to make it to your hands before being caught.

Leaves me wondering if this was a mile high vendor.

I have had some 9mm critical Duty ammo that was the same way. It shot real good in my g19. So I went and bough a couple more boxes to load for my carry ammo. About 6 months later I went to shoot off the ammo I had in the mags I was carrying. I had 3 rounds in the first mag and 2 in the second mag all the primers popped but nothing. I reload so I took them apart and all 5 had no flash holes just like this.

I sent them into Hornady and said they could keep their ammo that I was trusting my life with. They can make good bullets but their ammo sucks.

I have seen different looking head markings. That explains why.
