Hornady Match 338LM with 250g BTHP

Secured a box of Hornady Match 338LM in 250g BTHP. Using a Christian Arms ELR at 200 yards, the first 2 shots at 200 yards were within 1/2". 3rd and 4th shots opened up to about 3". I pulled some bullets and weight the powder from the box. Had a spread of 1.2g. The powder was cut like H1000 but was much darker in color. The box states 2860 f/s at muzzle. Will check that velocity next trip to range. Powder weight varied between 92.36g to 93.56g. Any ideas on which powder this is?

H 1000 retumbo or N570 all work good in my 338 Lapua my retumbo load is 94 Grains but I am running 2940 ft./s

Yes 250 grain berger elite hunters In a 28 inch BART 1 and 9.3 twist

with H1000, is 91.0 a good starting load?

With a 250 grain bullet the minimum starting load would be 90 the max is 94 with H 1000 In the Lee loading manual the minimum load of H 1000 starts at 88 the maximum load is 98 which is compressed I tend to like the Nosler manual better

Having powder charge differential of 1.2 grns. is (to me) a pretty big variation in ammo called "Match". I wonder if that is commonplace in todays' "better" factory ammo? I seldom dissect it as I seldom buy it.
