Hornady LNL Problem

I've been reloading with this press for over a year now and am having a slight problem with the primer slide pin coming out. Sometimes I can load a 1000 rounds before it comes out, sometimes less than 50 rounds. When I put it back in it seems really loose. Before I call Hornady I thought I'd ask here if anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it. Here's a pic just to clarify what pin I'm talking about.

Does it have a set screw holding it in or just a blank hole? Can you show a picture with the piece from the front?

I've never had that issue with mine and have over 10,000 rounds loaded on it. I would call Hornady and I'd guess they'll send you a new slide.

Happened to me once. What I did while waiting for a new one from Hornady was to tap it in with a small hammer. It stayed for several hundred rnds. The next time it came loose, I epoxied it in until the new one came. You might also try staking it in.

One call to Hornady and the problem will be solved at no charge.

Called Hornady and they are shipping me a new one. Just figured that there might have been a fix for it. Thanks guys
