Hornady LNL AP - w/Case Feeder - "trying to load 380 auto"

As the title states, i`m trying to run 380acp brass through the LNL automatic case feeder. The cases are jamming at the pivot block. I`ve tried everything i know of and i`ve messed with all the additional parts that came with the case feeder and still can`t seem to stop the cases from jamming in the pivot block. According to the manual, i`ve got all the correct bushings installed.

Is there anyone out there that makes a better pivot insert that closes up the size of the pivot hole better so as to keep the case above from trying to chase the other case under it down the chute? Due to the size of the hole in the pivot, this case feeder is never going to feed 380acp case`s the way it is right now. That hole in the pivot is just way to big in diameter.

Hornady says you can run 22-Hornet, 32acp with this case feeder. I call bullsh!t on that. As small as the 380 cases are, there`s no way in hell a 22-Hornet or 32acp is going to run right in the case feeder/pivot block. The hole in the pivot is way to large. It looks like a gigantic funnel! And yes, the proper bushing is installed.

Thanks guys.

Well after reading the fleabay sellers description, i`m going to try these out. The seller seems to know what is needed for my 380acp case feeding problem.

I got tired of waiting, so i made my own bushing today for the 380acp cases to work in this case feeder.

I took an old spare MEC powder bushing, cut it to length an chamfered it, dropped it into the pivot block,
and BAM! Works like a champ. Hornady`s bushing does NOT work properly for 380 cases. You` can see the difference of the size of it by my thumb in the picture. Then look how nice the modded MEC bushing fits. It now keeps the upper case from being pulled over and jam up the pivot block.

I used a MEC #33 powder bushing to complete this task.
The proper cut-off height of the MEC bushing to work in the pivot block is .625in

I also tested this modded bushing with the 9mm cases, it works MUCH smoother than the Hornady bushing.
You will want to adjust the adjustable threaded aluminum tube down very close to the mouth of the case.

Hope this all helps someone. Feel free to ask questions, and i`ll try to answer the best i can.
