Hornady dies

I purchased a Hornady 2 die set for my 308, I was using Lee dies for years. I was using Winchester, Remington, ADI and PPU brass, neck and full length resizing with the Lee dies without issues. The Hornady FL sizing die will not resize my brass. After cleaning and lubricating with One Shot, the cases seem to stick approximately half when into the die, the more I pull the handle the harder it gets but the Lee die continues to resize it. I bought some virgin Lapua brass and it sizes with no problems in either die. The Lapua brass seems to take just a little more effort to size in the Hornady than the Lee. What, if anything, can Hornady do to improve the function of there die?

My Hornady FL dies work well. They may require a bit more effort, butif I have some brass that was used in one rifle and I want to use tthat brass in another, I use the Hornady gear. Sizes case down bit more to original specs. YMMV.

I love mine.

Try a different lube- not a fan of one-shot. I really like Royal case lube. Like all mass produced products, they are manufactured to certain dimensions with-in tolerances. Your Hornady dies size smaller than Lee's. You could buy Fl dies from all the major brands and each would likely size the case a tad differently. One could try this hit or miss method and sell the dies that did not offer optimum fit.
