Hornady Black .223 75grain HPBT Through A Bolt Gun ?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience shooting these through a bolt gun. They were, according to Hornady, designed primarily to shoot and cycle well through AR platforms. Trying out different loads through a 110 action in an MDT stock and Shilen 26 “ select match bull barrel in 7 twist out to 500 yards. Appreciate any input, positive or negative.

I have not tried the rounds you asked about but i did shoot some hornady black in 6mm creedmoor few years back. I got them to put rounds down before working up a load for the rifle. They were extremely accurate. A 5 shot group could be covered with a dime.

Brad, do you have any of that for sale?

Do a search on my website for Frontier and it will show you all the available ammunition. We also shoot the 55 grain and have found those to be quite good. The only downside we ever had was the primers are pretty hard so you have to smack them pretty good with a small firing pin to get them to go off.
