Hornady "AEROMatch" bullets. ????

Hornady is just another mass produced bullet which is indicative of the price. For hunting and plinking, they are great. For long range competition, you are better spending the extra money and buying some Bergers. In smaller calibers, some guys are also having good luck with 6mm 107gr Sierra Match Kings.

I can get into, the Low to Mid, 3's groups with, 130 gr. ELD-M's, launched from, a slightly Modified & Braked, Factory Tikka, T-3 Lite, 6.5 Creed. ( NON-Fluted bbl. ) 24" Long, 6x-24x Viper scope.
I use this Bullet to, Shoot,.. Steel / Target / Varmints.
But, Hunt with, the 143 gr ELD-X's ( they go into, 1/2 to 5/8th's MOA, group's ) NOT quite, as Good,..
BUT,. "Good Enough" !
Love, the Sierra 6MM SMK's, in my 6 XC,. a Cheap Bullet that Shoots,.. Well above, it's Pay Grade !
With Bullets,.. You GET,. What, you PAY,. FOR !

I have been shooting Berger Hybrid bullets since they were introduced...also shoot Vapor Trail's.... that's why I was curious...I don't trust any bullet other than maybe three makers, and some custom makers....rsbhunter

If, I were Shooting, Match / Competition / B R,. I'd MOST probably, Work Up Loads for, a VLD / OTM Hybrids, Berger's or,.. a Custom made, Bullet.
But, I DON'T have, a $10-$12,000 Dollar, Competition Rifle, so SMK's and ELD-M's ARE, "good Enough", for Me !
HOWEVER, I Do shoot, 140 gr. Berg's @ 3,200 FPS,.. FOR,. ELK !

Here’s another related thread. My experience advised “no” for use in serious competition.

YES!!! Sorry, I should have caught that....rsbhunter
I've shot some 6.5 140s and can't really say in comparison to Berger Hybrids but I can say they seem to shoot well enough to go further in load development.
I did a powder ladder and a seating ladder. Next time out I'll further refine powder @ -.070"and see where that goes.

This was in a 6.5x47L and the bullets ogive let's you get it up out of the case and into the neck to run a bulkier slower powder like H4350 vs Varget.

How could they use them exclusively, when they just got released late last year? Unless you're referring to Hornady in general, not just the AeroMatch?
Right. I was referring to some use Hornady bullets exclusively - responding to some other comments that they would only use Sierra or Berger.
