Hornady 7mm Rem mag brass ?

I am looking for some Remington brass for my 7mm to no avail but there seems to be some Hornady out there in places . I really can't afford nosler or Norma so I was wondering if anyone has loaded the Hornady and how well it checked out. Thanks in advance. Dale.

I like the Hornady. It's thicker than the Remington or Winchester brass. Be careful with your pressures. Because it's a banded mag, the bottoms will expand quickly. Because of this annealing doesn't help you too much.

I've used Hornady brass in my 25/06 and 7mm/08 and find it a good quality case. Never had any problems and got good case life.

I found that because of the generous clearance in SAAMI spec on the shoulder of 7mm Rem Mag brass that after the first firing there is a thinning of the case by the head. If I had to do it over I would have spec'd clearance on the band and closer fit to the shoulder of the brass that I was using.

Save the extra few bucks and buy the Nosler or Norma when it's available. The Hornady may be cheaper now but you will be buying more of it pretty quickly. Its better then what Winchester is offering these days but that's not saying much.
