Hornady 40/10mm Die

Question for the experts. I was loading some 10mm last night with a Hornady 40/10 Taper crimp die. Seating 180 gr. xtreme RNFP HPCB bullets in new TNQ brass. I seem to have the die set up right...crimp seems right, OAL is right, etc; but when I lower the ram (using a single stage Hornady LNL press), the bullet/case mouth stick in the die seating stem. If I use quite a bit of force it will pop out and the cartridge is still perfectly fine. The loaded cartridge fits in a LE Wilson "pistol max go gauge" Just curious if anyone has run in to this and would know a cause and solution. Hopefully I have described the problem good enough to understand. Thanks.

If the die is set up for both the 10mm and 40s&w, I would say you are probably running the 10mm (which are around 0.192" longer cases than the 40) into the die too far. Did you try backing the die off a little? That may solve you problem.
