hornady 300 win mag load info?

My 300 win mag likes the 178 gr Amax Hornady factory loading and I would like to reproduce it. I pulled the charge and it looks like 75 g. of a powder that is the same color as the Hogdon extreme powders. Does anyone have information on what powder may be in these loads?( I know that factories may use canister grade powder, that my milage may vary, etc.)
the box says MV of 2860 fps, but I did not run it over a chrono.

They wont tell you. I have a friend who called and ask about that exact same ammo a few weeks back. They responded with some verbiage about proprietary blended powders, yadda yadda, and then proceeded to recommend H-4831, IMR-7828, and RL22? if memory serves. That tells me that they're probably not using anything proprietary in that particular loading, but rather one of the powders they mentioned. I've been wrong before, and I know of course that Hornady does have special powders for things, my money though is on this particular one being standard.
